What You Provide

 

PREPARATION FOR YOUR MEETING WITH THE NOTARY

You provide the documents which have been completed         but not yet dated or signed. 

Have your California driver license or acceptable ID available. (See below for additional acceptable ID)

The person signing the document must understand the document and be aware of what they are signing.

The person signing the document must be able to communicate in English.

Provide cash, check, credit card or money order for                 payment of services.

 

ADDITIONAL ACCEPTABLE IDENTIFICATION

Identification Documents must contain a photograph, physical description, your signature and identifying number.

The ID must be current or have been issued in the past 5 years. (Civil Code Section 1185(b) (3) and (4).

 Some examples of acceptable ID are: 

      Driver License

     -U.S. Passport

     -U.S. Military ID Card

     -State Issued ID Card (Senior ID, CA ID, etc.)

     Canadian or Mexican Driver License

     -Authorized stamped Foreign Passport
